They Say It's Your Birthday!...The Zoo

Hard to believe my baby's turning four!! Aww...but she's such a cutie pie! She was dying to take the troops to Kangaroo Zoo to celebrate--fine with me, that's an easy-peezy party! Thanks to the Terrys and Portia Jane for joining in on the fun...I think everybody had a great time bouncing their little hearts out!

This Is Your Birthday Song, It Isn't Very Long...

That's right...my first baby boy has now entered the double digits of life! Last Monday, we rallied all the family in town and gathered at the Rotary Park to celebrate Connor's big 1-0! The day before his birthday, Dad took all the kids and Connor's friends, Jake and Zack Thacker, to see Despicable Me and to get a frostee (which they all loved), and for his real birthday, Connor requested Spiderman cupcakes (and, of course, I was more than willing to offer my patronage to The Sweet Tooth Fairy to create said sweets) and Iron Man 2 as his gift. He was pretty stoked with the outlay of cash from the relatives (which he spent all in one fell swoop on a really cool griffin and warrior figurines) and topped off the evening with some time on one of his other favorite things in this world--swings! All in all, Connor was a pretty happy kid to finally be 10...
