They Tell Us School Days Are Golden...

First day of school and we are STILL rockin' the DONUTS-N-DRINKS tradition with the kiddos of our cul-de-sac! With these kids growing older, timing the party is getting trickier, but we pulled it off again nonetheless. Natasha is always ready to head back to school and she was excited for her eighth-grade year to commence! No longer is she the frosh class at junior high, but can now fly through the halls with confidence. Conn never likes to see school come back around, but he's happy to be the big man on campus as a sixth-grader. And, my Daney-boy couldn't care less what class he's in, he heartily declares that he hates school (just ask him!). I keep trying to tell him third grade is pretty cool (learning cursive and having a cool teacher like Mrs. Ames), but he's not really buying it. Whatever their attitude, their off! And I'm looking forward to a little peace and quiet...!
