Haul Out The Holly...

As December approaches, the one “Holiday Dread” dominating my thoughts isn’t the shopping, or the baking, or the jam-packed calendar of events to attend. It isn’t even the money that will be spent (will there ever be a year where we begin shopping with cash in hand??) It’s the dreaded DECORATING! Over the years, I have amassed several large bins packed full of Christmas decorations. I am a huge believer of “out with the old, in with the new.” And therein lies the problem! I am constantly throwing away the old décor to make room for all the new décor I just can’t help but buy. The thought of putting up all that fabulous décor, however, is enough to make me want to skip the month of December all together! Luckily for me, I have growing children that are eager and able to assist in the process. Putting up the village has become Natasha’s expertise and all the kids help Shayne assemble the tree and help me put on the tree ornaments. It’s a big pain, but when it’s done—I love the way it looks! (Now, if I could just pay somebody to take it all down…)
