Here Comes Santa Claus, Here Comes Santa Claus...

Every Christmas Eve, we go to Grammy Su and Grandpa Bar's house to stuff ourselves with good food and have a family fireside together. We started the afternoon by seeing "The Princess and the Frog" with our cousins, aunts, and uncles (and mega candy provided by Grammy Su!), then headed to the Preator house. Our Christmas Eve traditional meal used to be an incredible fondue feast (yeah, sadly, Grammy decided she'd had enough of working her guts out on Christmas Eve to prepare that meal.) So, last year, we tried out doing a huge breakfast dinner to celebrate. (I was the one to put the kibosh on that meal idea--it just seemed strange to me to eat breakfast for dinner, then get up and eat it again a few hours later for our huge Christmas day breakfast!) In an effort to please all for this year, Grammy decided to do "Surf-n-Turf" for a new tradition ('cause who doesn't like steak?) We then cozied up in the family room for the reading of the account of the Savior's birth (singing all the great hymns that go lovely with the scriptures--I love that part!) Grammy and Grandpa then agreed to let everyone open a gift from them. The kids were giddy to get new pajamas (and so was I!) We then took off for home so we could make sure to beat Santa to bed. Thanks Grammy and Grandpa for a great party!
