Won't Go Home Without You...

After our taxi returned us to Mandalay Bay, we swung by the merchandise stand on our way into the hotel and each bought a shirt. It was great to be able to run them up to the room before the show started!
We killed some time before the concert taking pictures, and wandering around . . .
Though we didn't have pit tickets for this show, we did have decent seats about halfway back on the floor, right in the center. Only problem was, once everyone stood up, we really couldn't see very well. Oh well, Leslee got some good pictures anyway and we had way too much fun!

Somehow we managed to miss James Valentine (the guitarist) falling off the stage during "Harder to Breathe!" Elaine Bradley from Neon Trees (the opening band from Utah!!) got a black eye from getting whacked in the eye with the end of the bass guitar, too. What a night!
The concert ended about 11:30 and we went back up to the room for awhile. About 12:30, Leslee and I went out in search of Adam Levine. It took us about an hour before we discovered him playing poker! It was hilarious when Leslee said, "Hey isn't that Adam in there at the table?" We weren't sure since his back was to us and he had a baseball cap on . . . until he put his arm up and we saw the tattoos. That sealed the deal!

We settled in to watch for about 30 minutes. While waiting we came up with all kinds of grand schemes  to get closer. Leslee wanted me to ask the drink girl if I could borrow her outfit and deliver their drinks! He must have won because he got pretty excited, collected his money, and then they were headed right towards us! Adam and about 10 other guys started walking as fast as possible back toward the arena. Nobody else had noticed them, so we just started following them. Only problem was we couldn't keep up without running (and we were trying to be casual)! Eventually they got pretty far ahead, and disappeared back into the arena. No doubt headed for the plane. Bummer. One of these days I'll get my picture with Adam. You just wait. (Hopefully I didn't blow my chance. Can't help but wonder if I should have run ahead and asked?) Leslee and I finally fell asleep around 3:30, I think.
Morning came too soon, and we had  to pack up and get out. A quick breakfast at McDonald's followed by a long, tired drive home. Until next time!
